For decades, the Scottish Society Of Windsor Pipe Band has enjoyed a solid reputation as a street band and the community band of Windsor. Established as a non-profit corporation in 1985, the SSWPB exists to honour and promote Scottish culture and to support like-minded organizations. The SSWPB has also become an annual fixture at the Windsor-area Terry Fox Run and Remembrance Day ceremonies, in addition to performing at events that raise funds for the Make-a-Wish Foundation, cancer and autism research and children suffering from hearing disorders.
